I was told source materials written by Portuguese and British scholars throw light on the battles fought by Raani Abbakka with the help of Mogaveera Naval Commanders and are available in their respective libraries. The original documents, writing or reference materials, particularly in Portuguese language need to be obtained and studied. On this basis, credit due to Mogaveera Naval Commanders/warriors needs to be reconstructed.
Collecting old written records, such as, reports of Grama Sabhas , Moolasthana s, and land records might throw light on the Mogaveera heritage/achievements.
